Shri Ajay Patel remains to be the president of the Gujarat State Chess Association since 2010. A number of tournaments have been won and many awards and prizes have been awarded in various state level tournaments under his direction and leadership. Gujarat hosts close to 13 chess championships every year. A number of coaching camps are being organised under his able guidance.
‘Sardar Patel college of Chess’ became the first college of state to receive recognition from the Swarnim Gujarat Sports University. With the aim to present 2000 rated chess players from Gujarat on the platform of ‘All India Chess Federation’, the state of Gujarat is creating history by nurturing a number of chess players from across the state.
His active participation in the game of shooting has been an influence on the young, budding sports talent of Gujarat.
As Ajay Bhai took charge of the organisation, various co-curricular activities such as Rifle shooting, swimming pool, snacks bar to name a few were already ongoing. The organisation has progressed ever since Ajaybhai took charge and has seen many laurels and proud moments.
Shri Ajay Patel believes in teamwork and is an amazing inspiration to all the members and employees of the organisation. His zeal and enthusiasm is unmatched and is indeed delightfully motivating.
Under his able leadership, technologically advanced health clubs, 16 rooms, table tennis, billiards, shooting range have been established with all the essential facilities required for the all round development of individuals. Amenities such as party-plots, air-conditioned halls, children’s park, a 20 feet lawn have made their way under Ajaybhai’s leadership.
He has encouraged the rifle-shooting training and made sure that the number of participants representing Gujarat at the national level is increased. Moreover, he has provided adequate amenities and training facilities to rifle-shooting players to take part on the international platform as well.
Shri Ajaybhai is socially and culturally very active. He is an active board member of Karnavati Club, Ahmedabad. His active participation and contribution in the last board elections of Karnavati Club are commendable. His understanding of the real issues and methodology of connecting with the audience is very precise and therefore he constantly only talks about the real issues and concerns of the public.
His contribution in the economic upliftment of rural masses and thereby also in strengthening the rural economy of the rural district as well as that of Gujarat is worth an ovation.
